My name is Dr. Amber Thornton and I am a passionate Clinical Psychologist and Motherhood Wellness Consultant. I have a strong will and desire to improve the well-being of all working mothers, particularly through supporting systemic changes within the companies and organizations that they work.
2020 has brought with it a global pandemic, recession, and far too many working mothers exiting the workforce. With that, I am ready to support your company or organization in retaining and improving the well-being of the working mothers who show up and support your company or organization every single day.

I believe that 3 ingredients are needed for companies & organizations to best facilitate well-being for their working mothers. |
1) Clarity- to best define the problem and our solutions.
2) Intention- to embrace the changes need, set achievable goals, and strategically work our plan.
3) Sustainability- so the changes we make will be lifelong and continue to be a strong part of the organizational and company-wide community.

As the Founder of Balanced Working Mama, my mission and passion is to support and empower working mothers to better balance their work, motherhood, and wellness. My goal is to completely shift the narrative of what is possible for us. Over the years, I've realized that this work needs to take place in the very systems that working mothers devote so much of their time- at work.
Companies and organizations reach out to me when they need a consultant with strong clinical mental health skills who can guide the process for how to best ensure optimal wellness and retention for their working mothers. |
