What is self-care?
Day 1 is all about beginning to explore what self-care might mean to you. The following activity should take about 5-10 minutes and will get you started.
*Helpful Tip: This activity requires you to brainstorm. When brainstorming, it’s important that you avoid over-thinking or over-analyzing. Write down exactly what comes to mind and do it quickly, even if it doesn’t make sense in the moment. My favorite way to brainstorm is to write the prompt in the middle of the page, and draw lines coming from the prompt extending to the edges of the page with my thoughts about the prompt. Another way I brainstorm is by writing the name of the prompt at the top of the page and making a list of the ideas that come from it going all the way down the page. Feel free to pick the style of brainstorming that works best for you.
Now you have a starting point for how to begin thinking of self-care and what it might look or feel like to you. Keep these in mind as we continue on this week!
Remember to share about your self-care using the hashtag #21DaysofSelfCare on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!
